Thixo Tak 2 : NLGI #2 Grease

Operating Temperature Range

Thixo Tak 2 is suitable for extended life and high temperature bearing applications.  It has a dropping point greater than 3000C (5700F), allowing its use in applications with brief excursions to 2600C (5000F).

Application Recomendations

Thixo Tak 2 is an NLGI #2 grease that contains extra tackifiers and antioxidants to provide superb protection in open bearings, sealed-for-life bearings and high temperature bearings.

Compatibility

Where possible, it is always recommended that the old grease be cleaned out of any bearing prior to the application of a different type or grade of grease.  The grease compatibility chart is a general guide only and may not be true for all brands of the given greases.
